Druggie Mother ??

Paul B3Paul B3 Posts: 3,080

Looking through some old 1960's photographs recently of my mother holding her siamese cat ; she also had a pet canary which was fed on what was then 'Trill' birdfood ; I can't upload a picture , but I'll swear blind there's a cannabis plant growing behind her ! Amazing what seed they used to incorporate in bird food then .

(She can't be prosecuted though , died in 2009)!!!!

cannabis was common in birdseed until what seems like recent times to an oldie like me. A popular excuse when the cops came round image

Seriously nut? Cannabis in the Trill? image

I was thinking it could have been a cleome.  My daughter loves winding me up by saying "Look, my mum's growing weed" to her friends when they come round.....and they believe her image.

Nan always threw out the left over trill into the front garden until my cousin asked her why she was growing cannabis! She was mortified! image

Sounds like there was a lot of innocent weed growing in the '70s image

I used to work for Social Services ... I fed the birds outside my office window ... one summer we had quite a large 'hemp' plant growing in Social Services gardens image
