Help identifying fruit tree, and type of ivy
Hello,
Wondering if anyone can help me identify this fruit tree that is in my garden. I'm attaching several pictures, it flowers white in early spring and these small green fruits appear in June /July. I haven't tried eating them yet to see if they're edible
Also separetely, this one is potentially a little bit of a naive question, but wonder if anyone can help me identify this particular type of ivy that I've seen in the attached window boxes near my office. I'd like to use the same ivy in my window boxes, I like how it flows out. It seems to turn a bit reddish in the autumn as well I think.
Thank in advance!
Neil

I think your tree might be a walnut but don't quote me on it! There are over a hundred varieties of ivy aka Hedera helix commercially available. There's a nursery called Fibrex which specialises in ivy. Their website illustrates the many varieties they offer. In my experience they are very helpful, I exchanged several emails with them about the growth habits of different ivies before making my choice. The quality and packaging of the plants they sent me was excellent, and they were very reasonably priced.
the tree is probably one of the small plum type trees, Bullace, something like that.
the Ivy is too distant
In the sticks near Peterborough
Thank you!
