Annual Medow Grass

i put down a new lawn in March it was a first class grad turf, but unfortunately it as know become dotted with annual meadow grass, I know the dry weather we had did not help,and theres too many areas to cut out, the turf company has offered me a new lawn, but I was wondering if anyone got any ideas what I can do to solve this problem without going to the pain of relaying a new lawn.

if the turf company has offered a new lawn, take it!
that will be far easier than removing one type of grass you don't want from grass you do want
