Clematis cutting

Hi all,

I took a cutting from a clematis quite a few weeks ago and put it in vermiculite with a plastic bag over it to keep the air around it humid. Now there are lots of little shoots coming from it and when I give it a gentle tug it resists, so I'm assuming it had rooted?

I took off the plastic bag this morning but within a short while the one shoot went completely limp and so I put the plastic bag over it again and now it seems to be doing fine.

My question is, has the cutting not rooted after all? And when should I remove the plastic covering altogether?

Gently ease it out of the pot and if it has rooted pot it up and sit outside in a semi shaded spot. Remember to water it.
