whats it called?

Hi does anyone know what this plant is called, I have been told its a weed but no one knows its name ?

    It could be Campanula Poscharskyana.

    Looks like Geum urbanum (wood avens) to me, just before it sends up flowering stems.  I can't get rid of the damn stuff from my garden.

    A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.

    Apologies, if leaves are over 5cms, it's unlikely to be a Campanula.

    Have a look at some Geums ... Similar leaves, gorgeous flowers and doesn't spread so invasive ly. 


    Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

    It looks like a geum, if you didn't plant it, then it's Geum urbanum, a hugely self seeding weed. The moment an insignificant little yellow flower appears, whip it out before it seeds.
