Unusual climbing rose

I have a climbing rose that has bloomed for first time (18 months old). It has produced different coloured roses on the same stem, identical in looks but one is pink and the other is lilac . It is quite stunning but I'm at a loss to know if this is unusual. I've included picture
would appreciate any info.

the blooms fade the longer they are open and the more lilac bloom looks as though it opened a few days ago. This is usual.
The lilac one looks older, so I would guess that it has just faded with age.
