Expanding hosepipe

Has anyone bought an expanding hosepipe. I've had one less than a month and was initially pleased with it but now the inner tube keeps bursting so now is much shorter as I have keep cutting the burst section out.

It's a common experience if this forum is anything to go by.   Most people try them once, then go back to using a conventional hose.

This is my third year of using a Hoselock one without any problems.

    Hi,
They are totally useless imo as they are suppose to expand to 3 times there length which they don't and everyone I know who brought them have nearly all had leaks on the tubing. Possibly the worst invention in years

Mine was great for about a month then started exploding when the inner tube burst soaking me in the process. I've ordered a supposedly  stronger one so hope I have better luck.

I have one and glad that I kept my old Hazelock. It worked fine the first time but where the expanding hose attaches to the tap fitting it kept bursting, soaking me. I have repaired several times but it has sat in my garage for some time. Hazelock hose can twist but I found can be fixed by attaching to the hot water tap, unwinding it all and when still on flow rolled up fine without kinks, and has stayed that way.

Love mine. But one connector broke and it's non standard, so it's a bit more expensive to replace and the aren't any high quality parts I trust to last longer.

I have a Hoselock expandable hose and love it. So much so that I bought a second one. And they do return to the original size when empty. It came in a little plastic box and still goes into it.

I have bought a Hozelock and it is quite wonderful - so light and small. I am being super careful with it, not using the tap on full, not putting any extra pressure on the hose. Fingers crossed.
